The Western Districts Parachute Club (Skydive Forbes) is a not for profit sporting skydiving club that has been operating for over 30 years. Â
The club, run entirely by club members, initially began on a property outside Nyngan in the mid 1970’s, with a few hardy jumpers jumping the big ex-military round parachutes. In the early 1980's the club moved to Wellington where it operated till 1996, before moving to our current home at Forbes Airport.
Over the years we have introduced hundreds of people to the thrill of skydiving, with many progressing to their full skydiving licence. Our central location at Forbes airport means the club is ideally placed to provide recreational jumping for the Central West of NSW. We have the use of the facilities and aircraft of the Forbes Flying Club (www.forbesflying.com.au) , including the club premises, which includes an air conditioned clubhouse with barbeque facilities.
